SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Flareon

Why did you choose "Flareon" out of all the Pokémon?

That's a great question. Since my favorite Pokémon game is Pokémon Red, I always had a special love for Eevee and its evolutions. Flareon turns to be a fire pokémon which is my kind whenever I have to choose for a new fight.

How long have you been a part of the SuicideGirls community?

I've been since 2016! And wishing to be one since my early teenage years.

Where are you from?

I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

What first got you interested in video games?

Well my first ever Christmas gift was a Nintendo. Like a HUGE gift. I saw it at a mall and I needed to play even though I wasn't going to be a pro or something. Also I certainly was not very friendly at all so I only wanted to stay at home playing with my brother. That's when I started to collect more consoles. I went from Nintendo to PlayStation and I found real love! Haha.

What are some characters that you have cosplayed?

I have a few! Kitana from Mortal Kombat is my favorite, I still have to make the adult version. A lot of times I made some custom zombie outfits for a "Zombie Parade" we used to celebrate in my country. Then I made my first Sailor Moon cosplay and was Sailor Mars because she's the cutest of course. My latest cosplay was Sansa Stark for a contest. I dyed my hair like Sophie Turner. It was pretty amazing.

Any plans for future cosplays?

I'm planning a few to work with SuicideGirls. If you've watched Kimetsu No Yaiba you'll probably have some ideas. No spoilers!

Favorite video game? Movie? TV show? Band?

Okay... fav video game is Resident Evil 3 (the original) without any doubt.

Fav movie? Kill Bill. Tarantino is my religion.

Fav TV Show? The Office. I'm re-watching it for the fifth time. Not even kidding haha.

Fav band? Bring Me The Horizon & Motley Crue. I can't choose between them. Especially since they're so different.

What did you like most about RE3 compared to other entries in the series?

The most amazing boss that it has: Nemesis. When I first saw him I was 10 years old. I think I lost any fear I'd have in video games after that.

Playing any video games currently?'

I'm currently playing RE: Village. So far I'm liking the aesthetic and the story. It seems like a mixed version of Resident Evil 4 and obviously Resident Evil 7. The creatures are very gory and scary which I'm loving.

Tell me about your different tattoos.

Well, the first time I got tattooed I wasn't planning a unique style to keep in all my designs. The first three or four tattoos were simple and small. Then I got my kitten tattooed which is a piece that occupies half of my left arm. And so it began. Right now I'm working on a black out project to cover and make disappear some pieces that remind me of an ugly past. I still have to finish my back though, which is only two sessions away from the end!

What are some of your other hobbies?

Usually I don't have much time off because I'm studying medicine and trying to finish, haha. But when I do: I've been a pole dancer since about five years ago. It keeps my mind free and clean from my daily routine. Also I'm learning to play the bass (still a newbie though) and I enjoy reading horror literature and manga's before I go to bed.

SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Diskatea (Hopeful)

Why did you choose the name "Diskatea"?

Diskatea is actually a combination of my real name, Kate, and a video game series I love, Disgaea. Video games are a huge part of my life so it felt appropriate to represent them in my user name.

How long have you been a part of SuicideGirls?

My debut set came out in December 2020, and I am going to continue submitting content to go pink and beyond! I hope to provide enjoyable content through cosplay and other unique themes for sets.

Where are you from?

I currently live in Dallas, Texas.

What first got you interested in video games?

My older brother and I grew up playing games together. I’ve always had a friendly contest in my head to be better than him, but he was the main reason I started gaming. I still think he is better at any game I could ever pick up. The quest for greatness continues.

What are some characters that you have cosplayed?

My first cosplay was of Yuna in her Songstress dressphere from Final Fantasy X-2, but I’ve also cosplayed A.B.A. and Dizzy from the Guilty Gear series, Quiet from Metal Gear Solid V, and my latest cosplay that has yet to be worn to a convention due to Covid-19 is the Hunter Doll from Bloodborne.

Any plans for future cosplays?

I have quite a few costumes that I’ve started to work on including Black Lady from Sailor Moon, Auriel from Diablo 3, and Yunalesca from Final Fantasy X. I want to continue to grow as a cosplayer and create costumes that challenge me to learn new techniques and work with new materials. I also want to create better versions of costumes from the past.

Favorite video game? Movie? TV show? Band?

My favorite video game series is the Bioshock lineup, and I am very excited to see its next installment. I have so many tattoos that I designed to represent some of my favorite aspects of the games.

My favorite movie is probably Amadeus. I’m not sure I could explain what’s so charming and alluring about that movie but I can’t get enough of it.

My favorite television show is Dexter. I’m also very fond of Will and Grace. I watch lots of crime shows like Forensic Files and Homicide Hunter with Lieutenant Joe Kenda, he seems like such a chill dude with great stories to tell.

It’s difficult for me to pick a favorite band, but I’m fond of bands like King Conquer, the sound of animals fighting, animal collective, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.

I have been getting tattoos since the day after my 18th birthday. Most of them are representative of something very meaningful in my life such as video games, musicians, anime, and literature. I am continuing to add art to my body for more representation of important things such as my love and fascination for tarot cards. I have this full black leg design I am working with my artist on for that aspect of my life.

Out of the cosplays that you have done, is there one that holds a special place in your heart?

I think there are two special cosplays I have created: My Bioshock little sister costume was the first cosplay I won an award with, and always leads to fun and memorable experiences when I wear it at conventions, and I feel that my Bloodborne Hunter Doll costume, which has yet to be worn to a convention due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is my best in terms of construction.

What's the hardest part about cosplaying?

I think the hardest part is finding the patience to work through obstacles that arise during the creation process. I am known to curse at my sewing machine, and I often feel dazed and confused and thus will stare at patterns and materials for extended periods of time questioning how to accomplish my work. I am not a very patient lady, and cosplay can drive me crazy sometimes.

Did you see that they announced a Dexter revival? Do you think that'll be good or bad for the series?

I had not heard of this! After reading some articles and watching the teaser trailer I have to admit I am kind of excited! I am happy to see Michael C. Hall reprise his role as Dexter, I think that is critical to the revival seeing any form of success. I hope that the new episodes have a compelling story about why Dexter’s killer actions have returned, and believe that they could bring a good redemption to what was an awful and seemingly unfitting end.

Outside of cosplay and video games, what are some of your other hobbies?

I love to read and I consider myself a talented singer. Although I limit my singing to when I am around close friends and enjoying karaoke in my car, I have been considering branching out for the sake of musical adventures. I am also searching for a violin teacher so I can learn a new instrument and incorporate that to future musical experiments.

I don’t always find that I have the time to pick up decent literature but bath time with a nice paperback to relax has always been a comforting way to spend my time. I am currently reading the fourth
installment of George R. R. martin’s A song of Ice and Fire series.

SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Jhosi (Hopeful)

How long have you been a part of SuicideGirls?

A little more than two years (although I have some personal issues that kept me out for more than a year, and just recently I came back more active).

Where are you from?

I was born in Venezuela.

What first got you interested in video games?

That good old Italian with the big moustache of course.

What are some characters that you have cosplayed?

Sailor Mars, Dana Scully from X-Files, Liz Parker from Roswell (the original TV show), Giorgio Tsoukalos from Ancient Aliens.

If the government confirmed aliens were real tomorrow, do you think that would be exciting or scary?

I already know they exist, and the government too, the only thing to be scared of is how society will react to that change of paradigms.

Any plans for future cosplays?

Too many. I want to try a couple from Star Wars and Dragon Ball series, too.

Favorite video game?

Bioshock Infinite.

Movie?

Star Wars: Rogue One.

TV show?

So many. The X-Files, Ancient Aliens, Roswell... I guess you can see the path (👽).

Anime: Dragon Ball, Sakura Card Captor, Sailor Moon.

Band?

Aerosmith.

Have you seen Dragon Ball Super?

Of course! On the same week that aired in Japan. It was so exciting to see Goku and Vegeta again.

What is the most challenging part of cosplay?

It's a lot of work and always after you think you are done you immediately want to add something else. It's a never ending story, but cosplaying in conventions is one of the most fun things to do.

What are some of your other hobbies?

I paint. I do mostly fan art also from anime and movies.

SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Yuumi

Why did you choose the name "Yuumi"?

My name is Yuumi because when I became a SuicideGirl, my main champion in League of Legends was Yuumi (now my main is Seraphine). I really liked this character for the opportunity to relax at the beginning of the game and in the absolutely incredible way to save the team in fights!

How long have you been a part of SuicideGirls?

Since 2020. This summer will be my first year!

Where are you from?

I lived in Siberia for 20 years. I later moved to Saint Petersburg because I hate having winter nine months a year. I miss friends and family though as there are 5000 kilometers between us.

What first got you interested in video games?

I think it's the opportunity to escape from reality and be a different character and to kind of live their stories. That's why I started doing cosplay.

Which League of Legends champion do you hate playing against the most?

Hecarim. I hate it when he runs from the other end of the map and kills me which causes a sense of hopelessness.

Do you play any other MOBAs like DOTA, Smite, Heroes of the Storm?

I tried to play all the popular MOBA. I played DoTA a lot before (and even got a DoTA tattoo on my arm, because this game really means a lot to me). I've made many good friends and spent a wonderful 5,000 hours on the game. I stopped playing it in 2017 due to a very toxic community and a poor reporting system, though.

What are some characters that you have cosplayed?

Saya from the visual novel "Saya no Uta" was my first in 2012! And I love photos from this set, so cute I think! Also I did female version Lich King (Warcraft 3), Aisaka Taiga (anime ToraDora!), Kyoko Sakura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Shego (Kim Possible), April O'Neil and so many others I can't remember all of them!

Any plans for future cosplays?

Oh, I'll do a cosplay for Misato Katsuragi from Evangelion soon! Hope it will be great. I really love this character for her attitude towards life. After that, I want to do Aggretsuko from the series of the same name. I feel a lot like her, haha!

What was the most challenging or time consuming cosplay that you have done?

Lich King. I redid it from scratch twice. There was a lot of crafting and it was very interesting to make this costume.  I learned a lot of new materials and invented my own ways to create different things.

Favorite video game? Movie? TV show? Band?

I have a lot of games! Favorite - To The Moon, Vampire: The Masquerade.

Movies - "Fight Club" and Russian film "Could One Imagine?"

TV shows... I mostly watch weird Russian shows hahaha, and "Miraculous"! I'm always 16 in my soul!

Music - I listen to music mainly from the Russian underground. Of the popular artists, I really like Stromae and Marilyn Manson.

Tell me a little bit about your tattoos.

I have swords on my left hand. On my shoulder I have Ragnarok from the anime "Soul Eater" and on my forearm I have sword 2B from "Nier Automata" (Beastlord) and the Sword of War (Eater of Chaos) from Darksiders. There is also a tanto sword, Omamori charm with cat and origami from the game Heavy Rain.

On my hip I have a tattoo with Sailor Chibi Moon of teenage rebellious age. I have two mice on my legs which are my favorite tattoos! I also have two tattoos on my buttocks, this is a heart and a smiley ":3" (I don’t know if it is used in other countries, but in Russia it is used as a cute face like in anime haha). My friends made them at a party (please don't do that!). But it was a lot of fun! Now when I see these tattoos I remember that fun time.

What is one country you would like to travel to someday and why?

I would like to visit New Zealand. In video and photos, this place looks so wonderful and interesting! I also want to visit Japan and, perhaps, someday live there for a while, to plunge into this culture, visit the cherry blossom festival and have a talk with local people (I even started learning Japanese so that I could speak once I go there!)

SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Stark

Why did you choose the name "Stark"?

It’s German! It means ‘strong.’ I’m sure the translation also had a huge influence on George RR Martin, since the Stark women are exceptionally strong characters, I like to think I’d be a part of that family if I was placed in the GoT universe.

How long have you been a part of SuicideGirls?

In 2016 I shot “The Supreme Being,” a Fifth Element cosplay set, and then became official in 2017. Since then I’ve gotten to meet so many amazing people all over the world in the SG community, I’m very grateful!

Where are you from?

Originally I’m from Philly, but I’ve been in LA since 2014. They both feel like home in their own ways.

Speaking of Game of Thrones, a lot of people were torn on the TV show's finale. What did you think of it?

Oh man… I really have tried to completely wipe that from my mind. What an absolute travesty to go from being the absolute pinnacle of pop-culture, to leaving people with such disdain that they never want to mention you again. Absolutely wild.

Which do you prefer the GoT books or show?

I started with the show! It made reading the books a lot easier because without a visual for at least some of the characters, it's so easy to get confused. They are very long, and a bit complicated but I recommend them to anyone who loved the first few seasons of the show.

What first got you interested in video games?

I’m trying so hard to remember my first game, but drawing a blank. My first love was absolutely Ocarina of Time. I love adventure games and it was like literally escaping my home life into something where you have this beautiful arc of justice and fairness, it really resonated with me.

What are some characters you have cosplayed?

Oh man, what haven’t I done at this point. Some of my favorites would have to be my Witcher series. I did Geralt (Kaer Morhen armor and all!), Ciri, Triss, and Yennefer. Geralt took an endless amount of time, I ended up streaming making chainmail links for three months of Twitch. During quarantine I made Tifa’s armor from Final Fantasy and I had a really nice time painting the runes on everything.

What is your favorite video game? Movie? TV show? Band?

It’s hard to pick favorites, every time I pick up something new I end up loving it. As far as movies go, definitely LoTR: The Two Towers. Sam has this amazing speech to Frodo and I will literally start the entire series over just to get the full momentum of that moment. Hits me in the feels every time.

What cosplay do you think that you will be doing next?

I’m coming up with a few plans, but I think a latex Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter is next for me :)

What is your biggest cosplay/modeling-related pet peeve?

Elitist's, but honestly it pertains to everything not just cosplay or modeling. People take things way too seriously for a bunch of carbon based skin suits on a floating rock in space. Just let people have fun, don't hurt anybody, and enjoy your time here, you know?

What is the most challenging cosplay that you have created and what made it more difficult?

That’s a bit of a toss up. Both the Geralt & Ciri costumes I made, I was testing out new techniques and that opens up an entire world of challenges as far as creating goes. I had a great deal of trouble carving Ciri’s belt out of clay then creating a silicone mold, and then resin pours of the individual pieces. It was frustrating.

Tell me a bit about your different tattoos.

Most of my tattoos are fandoms so there’s not much to explain. I do have a simple dove sketch on my left arm that's fairly hidden and it’s my favorite. Thoreau used to doodle it on his manuscripts before he turned them over to his printer, he’s one of my favorite writers and I love having it just for me. One of my first tattoos is an  “=” on my middle finger for the Human Rights Campaign. I told myself it was so when I flipped people off it would be for equality, haha!

Outside of video games and cosplay, what other hobbies do you have?

Reading, writing, traveling prior to lockdown. I’m quite terrible, but I like to play piano, too. Honestly most things that involve my hands, I enjoy creating.

SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Penny

Why did you choose the name "Penny”?

My stage name was originally “Penny Dreadful” after the illustrated periodicals sold in victorian-era England. They were short stories usually about horror, sci-fi, or mystery. When I first started modeling I was specializing in gothic modeling and had dreadlocks, so Penny Dreadful seemed an appropriate name. I had also gone to college and majored in illustration where I had researched the penny dreadfuls as well and felt matched with their darkness. When I officially became a SuicideGirl I swapped the “Dreadful” part for “Suicide” in my stage name becoming Penny Suicide and abbreviated my name to just Penny on the site.

Where are you from?

I grew up in the Midwest in the USA and I call soda “pop." That should be a sufficient clue.

How long have you been a SuicideGirl?

Since 2016, so going on five years now.

What are some of you favorite video games?

I love almost anything MMORPG/RPG, button mashing, or side scrolling. I was obsessed with Ragnarok Online. I also enjoyed these series: Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Dark Souls, Devil May Cry, Diablo, Divinity, Resident Evil, Super Smash Bros. (Melee), Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines, and Mortal Kombat. As well as stand alone titles: Dragon’s Crown, Bloodborne, and Skyrim.

Are you an anime fan? If so, watching anything currently?

Yes! I’ve been an anime fan forever. I grew up watching Toonami on Adult Swim when they would play the anime shows late at night on the weekends. And then I would get the manga and read the series. I don’t have a lot of free time to watch anymore unfortunately, but my last big series binges were Death Note, One-Punch Man, and Gurren Lagann. Forever will love Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Hellsing, Inuyasha, Outlaw Star, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo!, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, Wolf’s Rain, and Ranma 1/2 to name a few.

Do you cosplay? If so, planning any cosplay currently?

I do have some cosplays! For SuicideGirls I have done Deadpool and Sailor Mars, which have both done really well on the site! I went to the last San Diego Comic Con with my Deadpool cosplay, which people loved. Misa from Death Note, Catwoman from Batman, Selene from Underworld, and femme version of Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z I have done at past conventions that people all really enjoyed. I have gone as Jessie from Team Rocket to C2E2 and that was fun and people loved that too.

I also have cosplayed famous goth characters like Morticia Addams and Elvira. I would love to plan more cosplays! I have an unfinished Mandalorian cosplay that needs to be shot, but is in the works. Future cosplays I could see myself doing are a female version of Edward Scissorhands, Raven from Teen Titans, some iteration of Harley Quinn more on the red/black color scheme, or Death from Sandman.

Tell me a little bit about the different tattoos that you have.

Oh gosh. That's a lot! I have quite a bit tattooed on me now. My chest tattoo is a vampire bat with a victorian heart shaped locket over my heart, and there are roses and smoke surrounding it’s wings and my under boob tattoo says “Spooky Girl.” Those I drew and designed myself as well as the black angel wings on my back. My left sleeve is black lace filigree into a black out on my forearm and hand with a skull poking through. My knuckles say “Doll Face” with a dagger and a pink bow to commemorate turning pink and becoming an official SuicideGirl. My stomach is a large skull with floral designs wrapping down my torso. On my spine I have anatomical/biomechanical spine bits that were inspired by an H. R. Giger painting he did of his wife. I have a witch’s face on my lower back.

And my sides, butt, and thighs are one large art nouveau floral pattern with black out elements in the filigree that tie my eventual bodysuit together. I plan to be covered from the neck down one day when I finish. I have a very crappy wolf tattoo on my top part of my right foot that healed poorly but I’m too afraid to laser or cover up because it was probably my most painful tattoo! Haha. But I really love how my tattoo collection is going! They all essentially fit into my ideal of “dark beauty”.

What do you find to be the most challenging part of cosplaying?

I think the hardest part is making sure the costuming looks accurate, polished, and finished, I pride myself on my cosplays looking well thought out. Poor execution is not acceptable for me. I either have to commit to a character and do them justice or I will scrap an idea if I don't think I would be proud of the outcome. The details, materials, etc. everything has to be right for me.

Are there any other cosplayers, or just models in general, that inspire you?

Oh gosh! Tons! I love so many amazing cosplaying models. I love fellow SuicideGirls that cosplay like Rincity, Blizzard, Nayru, MariaJupiter, Ellie (EliseLaurenne), CryBaby, and Lua to name a few. But we have tons of cosplayers on SuicideGirls, every Friday is "Cosplay Friday", where we feature two Sets of the Day of cosplaying girls.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in modeling?

I would say make sure you know your own comfort levels and boundaries as a model, especially, if you are doing any sort of nude/18+ modeling and know that the photos will be on the internet forever. Yes, your potential employers, your friends, and family members may find out about it, so make sure you're willing to handle the consequences and look at the big picture of how that may affect your life and if you can handle that.

Model safety is key and very important, please do your research on photographers you work with, for example, ask previous models for honest feedback and trust your instincts when interacting with them. Don't let just anyone take your picture. Look at portfolios of photographers that shoot images you would want to see yourself in. If you work with low quality photographers you will be viewed as a low quality model. That might sound harsh, but it is just the reality in this industry. That means you might have to work for trade or even pay photographers to build your own modeling portfolio when getting started, especially if you are new and inexperienced. This is a good thing, because you will learn a lot about posing/expressing/etiquette and valuable skills you can carry on with you throughout your entire career and it is an investment in yourself.

You should not get into modeling if you have a get rich quick scheme in mind, it very rarely takes off for people like that. You will get back what you put into it, and if you want it to be a business you need to treat it like one. Think about the type of modeling you want to do and if you want to be in charge of yourself for handling bookings. Some people want to do mainstream fashion and work for a large agency and some people want to be their own boss and specialize in a niche. I chose the latter, but think about your intentions. Just like some people want to model full time and some want it to be a hobby/side gig.

Also don't compare yourself to other models. You are uniquely you. Look up to other models and be inspired by them, but don't be envious, and definitely don't beat yourself up about how you look in comparison. You will need to have thick skin, because you're being vulnerable by putting images out there, people on the internet can be very unkind. Don't take negative comments to heart. There's a Dita Von Teese quote I think of regularly, "You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches."

SuicideGirl Gamer of the Month: Daphnelecerf (Hopeful)

Why did you choose the name "Daphnelecerf"?

I've been using this name since 2011, when I began in the porn industry with John B. Root. I'm well known with this name, so no reason to change it!

What got you interested in the SuicideGirls?

I am interested in SuicideGirls because they are unconventional, pretty people. I always felt different; a bit too fat, a bit too small, colored hair, pierced, inked,... it was never enough to be able to appear in a film or in a series, even as a silhouette. I discovered the SG website, not so long after I began porn and I fell in love with the concept. I hope that one day I'll become an official SG. Today I'm a Hopeful, tomorrow who knows?

What are some of your favorite video games?

Basically, I love all roleplaying games, from Zelda to Final Fantasy, Wakfu, and even the Sims!

Playing anything right now?

Actually I'm playing Final Fantasy 14 and "Touch You, Touch Me" a Thai dancing video game called "STEPS Online."

I could also list the games I'm playing on my phone, but it would take ages haha.

When did you first become a gamer?

When I was younger, my father bought the Nintendo with Duck Hunter and Mario. I fell in love with video games at the moment I guess.

What is your favorite movie? TV show? Band?

I'm not so much a TV person so it's a hard question for me... I'll say "Spirited Away" as a film if that counts. I watched the Lucifer series on Netflix and had a crush on Tom Ellis. As a band, I'm just so in love with the 2NE1 on Brown Eyed Girls.

What is your favorite Final Fantasy game and why?

I think I prefer Final Fantasy 9, maybe because it was the first one that I finished completely. I fell in love with the story and all the mini games all around (the digging chocobo is the best one I think)!

Have you tried the new Final Fantasy VII remake yet? If so what do you think?

I have it, tried it, and am still waiting to finish it. To be honest, I love the character design, how they went more in-depth with the side characters' stories, etc... but it feels... I don't know. Something like "empty." It doesn't make me feel like if I'm playing a Final Fantasy game... maybe because of the gameplay? I can't really say... I think I love turn-by-turn gameplay, where you need to think four or five steps ahead to win instead of just being the fastest.

How long have you been into cosplay?

I began to cosplay in 2012. I just wanted to create something and enjoy it for conventions, so I haven't made a lot of cosplays, just a few.

What are some characters that you have cosplayed?

I began as a Victorian Vampire and I bought my first cosplay in a French cosplay shop: Yuki from Vampire Knights. I didn't feel good in this cosplay, so I wanted to craft one and I made my own: Mai Otome armor with LED, working with Worbla, etc... I continued with Lotus Order Karma, Ahri Chinese New Year, Valkyrie Bikini Warrior...  And I finished by making cosplays for some friends and organized craft cosplay lessons in Paris years ago. It was cool but I stopped everything in 2016. Now I'm just making easy peasy stuff and light accessories for my own.

Do you have any plans on future cosplays?

I began working on a Riven Bunny cosplay from League of Legends and I'm planning to do a bloody sexy Succubus for Halloween.

Other than video games and modeling, what are some of your other hobbies?

I do some watercolor painting and I love to spend my time walking in forests with my dog.

SuicideGirl (Hopeful) Gamer of the Month: Brujaja

Why did you choose the name "Brujaja"?

The name is a pun!

"Bruja" in Spanish means 'Witch' and 'Jajah is the Spanish spelling of "haha." My mother's side is Puerto Rican and I wanted to lean into that aspect of my personality. In English, a brouhaha is "a noisy and overexcited reaction or response to something." That describes my personality pretty well. So I decided to combine bruja and brouhaha to create a pun in two languages with one word.

Also, Bruja was already taken.

What got you interested in the SuicideGirls?

I have wanted to be a SuicideGirl since 2006, when I first heard of them.  These women were different. They were wearing art, they were expressive, and they were real. I was 18 but not at all alternative. I kind of let the notion of trying to be a SuicideGirl go.

Years later, in my 30's, I met a group of women who made lewd and nude cosplay content. One of these ladies was Crybaby. After having the honor to work with her, and seeing how warm and wonderful she was, I decided to check out the community. I found SGs on social media like Penny, DenverMaxx, Riae, and Fishball. I wanted to be apart of this culture.

How long have you been into cosplay?

Since 2014. I first cosplayed as Red Card Katarina from League of Legends. I was hooked. Now I do mostly boudoir cosplays because entire outfits are expensive.

What are some of the characters that you have cosplayed?

My favorite character to be is Jessica Jones. But I recently added my first Hopeful cosplay set to SG. I did a boudoir Mary Jane Watson inspired by the Spiderman Loves Mary Jane series.

Any plans for future cosplays?

I just got the pieces for Ivana Humpalot from Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged me. I love cosplaying strong, badass, and hilarious characters.

What are some of your favorite video games?

I really love Fallout 4, glitches and all. I am horrible at it but I occasionally play League of Legends. I also stream Magic The Gathering Arena on Twitch and I love it.

I love open world games too. I have about 400 hours clocked in to H1Z1: Just Survive before it was defunded.

400 hours is pretty impressive. If you had to guess, how many hours would you say you've logged onto the game you have played the most and what game is it?

Easily, World of Warcraft. I have well over 600 hours logged. I just restarted my subscription so I am sure I will rack up more soon.

Playing anything right now?

Other then MTGA, I am re-playing Fallout 4. The world seems like it's ending so I am practicing. I am also re-playing Fall Out: New Vegas on PC.

What type of MTG decks do you like to play? Aggro? Control?

My favorite decks are control, mono black, zombie decks. Both in paper and on Arena I have my most wins with mono black, control, zombie decks.

Have you tried any of the new cards yet from Kaldheim?

I have! I have played a few on Arena. And it appears the sadist at Wizards of the Coast brought back poison counters....

How did you first become a gamer?

I had a very difficult time making friends growing up, and I didn't have a great home life, so I would just get lost in videos games. I fell in love with a crappy math game called 'Zoombeanies' and 'Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?' I also had a Gameboy and played Super Mario and Kirby's Dreamland. Gaming was my escape.

Tell me a bit about your different tattoos.

My most treasured among my tattoos is the heart shaped doughnut on my shoulder. My grandma used to get us Dunking Donuts every time we saw her. She always got me a pink iced doughnut. I had a very hard time with her passing a few years back. The doughnut is my way to carry her with me. The tattoo is an original design by Kelly Gelling of Artful Ink in Bohemia, NY.

A lot of people ask me about my large thigh tattoo. It is a beautiful, original piece by Brokelle Bombshell of Charmed Life Gallery in Baltimore, MD. I asked her to give me a piece of Gomez and Morticia Addams. The first design she sent me is exactly what I have today. I used to self harm on this thigh. I don't have many physical scars left but I wanted to replace how I saw that part of my body. Gomez and Morticia, to me, are the ultimate representation of love. They love each other, their family, and themselves exactly as they are.

What is your favorite movie? TV show? Band?

My all time favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas. My favorite show is The Walking Dead. My favorite band is The Black Keys.
